Hi,

I would like to use different VST/VSTi/DX Plugins on Renoise v1.91. I am looking for the best VST Plugins on PC, any ideas ? Furthermore, I need "real" instruments thanks to plugins for Renoise : Piano, Synth, Orchestral, Ensemble, Voices, Orchit, Violin...

Today, I use Absynth v4 with Renoise and it works good smiley I compose musics :

1°) New Age, Orchestral, Medieval, Romantic, Movies...
2°) Techno, House, Acid, Trance, HardTrance, HardCore...

Please help me to find my favourites plugins for Renoise !

Thanks & Greetings,

Hello ViZiON,

Look at the best website for that : http://www.kvraudio.com/

You will find all VST/DX plugins you need. Use the excellent search engine.

Good luck.

If you want REAL sounds I would defenately recommend SOUNDFONTS especially Sonivox soundfonts. You can buy  them with paypal and download them instantly. They have excellent sound. Here is the link:
http://www.sonivoxmi.com/ProductList.asp?lstSort=Synth&lstSynthSearch=Soundfont&lstInstruments=Orchestral
(just remember to turn your firewall off while you install these during activation key confirmation process)
In Renoise you can't play them as such, you need a soundfont player vst plugin. This is a good free soundfont player:
font!Sf2 and here is the link:
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/jez.price/players.htm
it's down at the bottom of the page.

These soundfonts aren't expensive but they have a really good quality authentic sound. I know there are free ones as well but I did a lot of searching and didn't fint what I was looking for. I have also used "Maz no. 1 instruments" cd. It contains loads of good xi-instruments (if you don't like soundfonts).

For making my own weird sounds I've used vsti's but when I've wanted to have realistic sounding real instruments I've gone for these above mentioned. Good quality for little cost.
