This is a draft of our policies for this site.  I mention it, because I have just "adjusted" an advertisement from this board over to the marketplace.  Please discuss your issues, concerns, additions, etc. with these policies, so that we may have a productive, healthy environment for everyone to use.  The spirit of these terms of use/privacy policy will stay the same, though the language will change.

Beware though... these may sound a bit draconian, but most are common sense...  Please let me know which ones to simplify for the average reader...  I tend to be long-winded and absolute-sounding on these things.

Terms of Use
-------------------

United Trackers aims to be a public forum for all persons who are interested in the creation of music through Tracking.  In order to provide a friendly environment for our users, we have several terms which must be followed by the users.

Personal attacks on others (including, but not limited to: racial slurs, threats, comments attacking sexual orientation/religious affiliation/political stance) will not be tolerated.

Any advertising unrelated to Music production (Job offers, etc) is to be contained in the "Off-Topic" forum, and limited to a reasonable number of posts as decided by the United Trackers' Staff.  Multiple identical postings (Spamming) will not be tolerated.  Reccomendations for software are not necessarily considered advertising.  These reccomendations will be judged on a post-by-post basis.  The Administration of United Trackers reserves the right to delete or move posts to more appropriate forums, as they deem necessary.

Discussing controversial issues is allowed (ie: the Ethics of File Sharing, Does the scene rely on piracy, etc...), but promoting or requesting help to pirate Software, or commit other illegal acts, is expressly forbidden.  The Administration of United Trackers reserves the right to terminate membership, edit/delete posts, and ban members from posting to public forums, without notice.

The views expressed in the forums of United Trackers do not necessarily represent the views of the Administration of United Trackers.  The forums are largely uncensored (except for reasons mentioned above), and may not be suitable for readers of a young age.  Use them at your own risk.

Privacy Policy
------------------
The Administration Staff at United Trackers will not sell or give your personal information to other parties, unless ordered to, by a court of law.  You, the user, are responsible for ensuring your user settings are correct, in order for certain items to be protected (ie: e-Mail Address).  As well, the Administration staff will not be held responsible for any personal items that you or another user has posted to a public forum. We only use your personal information for site monitoring purposes, to ensure that the Terms of Use are followed, and to contact you for administrative-related issues.
