Hello United trackers,

Just like many others I've used (and still use) IT quite a lot. I even keep a separate DOS/WIN98 setup running to use it. After some searching i've found out that there seems to be a version 2.17?

* Anybody got any info on those later versions (improvements over 2.15?)
* Is 2.17 the final version?
* Is there a way to obtain those versions? / Can author Jeffrey Lim still be reached in some way?

Might sound strange, after all these years, and with all the free/improved software nowadays.
To me, there's just no substitute for the true 'feel' of using IT. Not even Schism tracker, although it's very good.

Any help appreciated!

Greetings  cool

The Official Impulse tracker Homepage has Jeffrey Lim's contact info on it.   He answered me a few years back when I provided him with stuff on DOSBox and VDMSound, but I haven't tried to contact him lately...

As far as I know, 2.14 is the last free version, and a bunch of patches can be applied under that version number...  I seem to remember that the stereo WAV writer bumps the version number, but I never had that, so I can't confirm...

There is still a method to donate to Jeffrey, and a contribution of $30+ should give you a link to the stereo WAV writer.

Fingersoup, thanks for the information.

I am curious about those patches. I run IT2.14 patch #5. The well known final public release. Registered users seem to get 2.15. Stereo diskwriter would probably make that 2.16...

Well, I knew about the site, but since last change was around 2005 i wondered if anything would happen if I contributed. I'll just contribute (after so many years) and see what happens. Jeffrey Lim seems to be a busy man so i don't really want to bother him.

Thanks! And if anyone knows more about this, please let me know
