It has a realy nice sound
"Dream Station is a versatile virtual workstation, featuring professional signal processing techniques to realize top quality sound, previously unheard in this category!"

But unfortunately Dream Station cant open and edit other modules like *.xm or *.it . this made it closed app.

"Lazy Acoustics.dss" is one of its samples and its one of my favorite musics I wonder for its sound. I recommend it to everyone.

I tried to create the acid sound witch is used in "Lazy Acoustics.dss" by MadTracker and VSTs but result was not as well as the original one.
If you find a vst producing sound like it Please let me know. 10q

This is Dream Station home page :

I tried this years ago, but at the time I didn't like it. Now it looks out of date. Maybe it still has good sounds and usability though (and that's most important in a tool).

It's not something I would use these days, but I'm not using anything right now wink

Welll, unfortunately DreamStation doesn't currently exist as a VST.  There's a DXi version (a Micro$oft DirectX soft synth), but you can only get it packaged with Cakewalk's Sonar.

There's a DXi that ships with Synapse Audio's Orion Pro/Platinum that can be made to sound like that demo MP3 (it did sound nice), but again you'd have to buy that to get the synth...

Not much help here, am I...

Buzz has several synths that can pull off those sound (with appropriate effects afterward, of course), but if you've never used Buzz or don't care for it that will be a problem.

How about Crystal ( http://www.greenoak.com/crystal/ ) or BizuneVST ( http://www.bizune.com )?  They're both pretty dynamic.  If nothing else, you can cobble together your own with SynthEdit ( http://www.synthedit.com/ ).

Hope that's of some use to you.

*fixed SynthEdit URL (they're using frames...grrr)

I thought it was pretty cool that Dreamstation, kind of like AXSfree, which is a free synth, sequencer and a tracker alike. I´ve had this problem that I´ve used too many vsti´s instead of learning how to use only a few but really good. With Ds and Axs you kind of have to, 'cause you only have one. I´m looking forward for the Ds II to come out.

For that acidy sound in that demo song I´d use Asynth or claw (both free vsti´s), with a lot of cut off automation in Madtracker or Psycle.

Thanks for your answers.
I Have used many music softwares since 8 month ago and nowadays I use
FLStudio 6 ( fruityloops ) .
In all of the music making softwares, the AUTOMATION has very important share
in creating a good song.
for example in Dream Station (Lazy_Acoustics.mp3) when I remove all effects and automation the result is just some bad noisy sound.
I think all the songs atleast must have reverb and echo effect applied . and then having some other effects like distortion and making them automationed will make the song great.( and this is what happened in Lazy_Acoustics.mp3 )
