Does anybody know of a good tracker that can be loaded as a VST plugin?  I recently got Sonar 5 and have been sorely disappointed with it's native sampling capabilities.  GigaStudio is too proprietary (and the latency in ReWire mode is ridiculous) and SoundFonts are not quite powerful enough.  I've been using Impulse Tracker on my legacy system for better than 6 years now, and if I could find a VST sampler that matches IT's features I could die happy.

I know MadTracker can be connected to Sonar via ReWire, but like I said, Rewire latency is a bit of an issue, and I'm not familiar with the FT2 effects commands (small gripe, I know).  I'd just rather not have to relearn effects if there's an Scream Tracker/Impulse Tracker-VST decendant out there.

reViSiT is a little more friendly to the Impulse Tracker user....

Thanks for the info.  I followed your link and downloaded reViSiT for a trial run.  It's still alpha (I'm getting a bit of a Buzz vibe here), so I'll probably have to check out Skale, too.

Later, Trackers.
