Oldschool trackers have offset and delay functions that will let you chop loops in the pattern editor, but this is a tad archaic. You may be better off using something like Audacity to modify loops (Provided they are in WAV or other Audacity compatible format).

On the other hand, CREATING loops is really easy in a tracker.  Load up some drums and play around!  When you're done making your beat, export to WAV and use Audacity to mangle your custom beats.

thx i will try
but used to make my loops in audiomulch maybe i should indeed try to make them directly in renoise.
It's just audiomulch is so easy and the visual interface makes using it like playing a game

I've never used audiomulch, so I wouldn't know.  It could be better at making drum tracks -- the screenshots definetly look interesting.  Use what's best for you...  As much as I'd like you to use a tracker for everything, if you can get results using multiple programs, or another type of program, then go for it.  Tracking software is just another tool in our repetoire to make music.  I just happen to like the grid interface.
