Thanks for the kind words!
I'm sure more could be said on the topic of tracking, but the purpose of the article was to cover the basics that almost all trackers support. more advanced topics, and tracker-specific features were not in the scope of the aricle. It's designed as more of a guide to get people started on tracking, and remove some of the fear associated with writing music (a seemingly fluid thing) in a grid (a very rigid thing)
While most Trackers do support MIDI, most trackers also have different ways of implementing MIDI. Controlling an external synth via MIDI, or exporting from a Tracked format to a WAV/MP3/OGG were outside the scope of the article. It also doesn't help that I don't have any MIDI devices at home for me to tinker with

Futhermore, these topics - While worthy - often depend on different features that trackers support. For example, in IT, you need to purchase the WAV renderer driver for a quality mix. Psycle has an Export to WAV function, but earlier versions required you to record it realtime. It just isn't feasible for me to cover everything in one tutorial. On the other hand, If you wish to write a guide for the site covering any of these topics, you are more than welcome to do so... With a cross-country move and a new job I have become rather limited in the time department. Although after the ripper was exposed, my mind has been churning with a good ol' fashioned copyright article...
