i am using orangator and some other progs to make sounds. exporting them either doesnīt work or is cpu expensive.

so i am going with that "recording with an externel audio editor". in this case soundforge.

problem is, when playing for instance a video clip in media player and recording it the signal is to low.

it takes some normalising and maximising, which at the end produces hums and hiss equally loud as the audio material.

this canīt be right.

i am thinking thereīs something wrong with my sforge recorder settings.
every volume slider is pulled up.so it seems like the sforge doesnīt even get the signal but listens to the pc indirectly (if this is possible) and picks the signal somewhere up along with the noise.

if thereīs alternative (audacity?) or someone who knows that the problem is....please.

thanks

What have you set as a recording device?

In the windows configuration->sounds & audio devices->audio(sound recording). Now the volume box shows up (the one with the sliders).

In this case should have it set to wave/mp3.

no luck.

like i thought - everything was set to wav.

the audio settings are reduced - i can only choose the level which is already max.

actually i only have a choice between soundmapper(?) and wav.

i play the files with wav or direct sound - nothing. the levels stay very-very low.inaudible until i hit volume increase, normalising (very loud) and repeat that few times. wich produces hiss ad noise.

any suggestions?
